- I don't think there is a software RAID feature for the Amiga...
- (correct me if I'm wrong)
- I think that some of the device gurus out there should be able
- to create the simplest form of RAID and that is to STRIPE disks.
- I've seen this done under VMS and there it's just a layer between
- the disks and the filesystem so the OS just sees one big disk.
- The speed increase is enourmous, almost x times faster / disk!
- If the "RAID-device" uses the devices available (scsi.device and others)
- then this could be done by having equally big partitions on each
- device and the STRIPE-set could even be spread between IDE and SCSI!
- Am I dreaming?
