  14. I don't think there is a software RAID feature for the Amiga...
  15. (correct me if I'm wrong)
  16. I think that some of the device gurus out there should be able
  17. to create the simplest form of RAID and that is to STRIPE disks.
  18. I've seen this done under VMS and there it's just a layer between
  19. the disks and the filesystem so the OS just sees one big disk.
  20. The speed increase is enourmous, almost x times faster / disk!
  21. If the "RAID-device" uses the devices available (scsi.device and others)
  22. then this could be done by having equally big partitions on each
  23. device and the STRIPE-set could even be spread between IDE and SCSI!
  24. Am I dreaming?
